Trip to Tripoli

Challenge #28 is about discovering Rick and Maria's new tangle Tripoli. With an interesting triangle theme it can look so intriguing by embellishing the triangles. It is another favourite for sure.

All that jazz!

Size: 42cm x 29cm (16 1/2" x 11 1/2")

This ZIA maybe a touch busy and perhaps to full, at the time I started it our grandaughter Heidi (8) was dancing her 1st solo jazz routine in the Launceston Competitions. She danced beautifully, the whole day was full of sparkles, fancy costumes, bright lights and big smiles.

Mmmm....crikey, Dex and Verdigogh....interesting. Our Diva had me thinking with challenge #27, I love both these tangles on their own but they are so different, it certainly was fun mixing them around and trying to blend them into something a bit quirky.

Spiral out, keep going

As you can imagine I was in my glee with our Diva's spiral challenge. As the challenge title says, I spiralled out and kept going! These 4 tiles were on the table and just seemed to fit as an ensemble even though their strings were drawn separately.

New Tangle - Brayd

Brayd is inspired by a frayed braid. It starts with a type of Mooka string crossed with two curved lines and filled.  Remember to leave the string in pencil to get the open weave effect and puff the small lines out a bit. Happy tangling!

Scottsdale Art Gallery

Tickety-boo, I have been framed and hung (in a good way)! The Scottsdale Art Gallery http://www.saaf.com.au/ opened their 'Winter Exhibition' today and with excitement two of my Zentangle Inspired Art pieces are displayed and for sale.

I am actually feeling like an artist now so thank you to my very good friend Liz for introducing me to Shirley at the gallery and Maria and Rick for Zentangle.

Zendala Magic

Genevieve Crabbe has created a mandala for our Challenge #25. This is actually my 1st Zendala, it was so enjoyable to create and reminds me of a posy.

ps: I forgot to shade it!!
