Tripoli Star

Create them simple or complex, you can't go wrong with pre strung Zendalas. This one has a stylish star shape, a  tangleation of tripoli just fits neatly without any fuss.

Knights Over Tipple

Weekly Challenge #137: "Duotangle - Knights over Tipple"

The Diva asked for squares and circles with knightsbridge and tipple. I decided to add some triangles  by using tripoli as a string design.

The Diva is a star with her blog reaching the superb milestone of reaching over 1 million visits!!!
Congratulations Laura!!!

On our trip home we followed the Murray River to Echuca for a
relaxing stop and trip back to the days in history of the paddle steamers.

Paul likes second hand shops in country towns so we would often stop to search for
bits of treasure. He wanted an old brass ruler, the type he used an a apprentice at
the Railway. Fortunately he found one at our last stop in a beautiful antique
shop in Maldon.

Colour

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #136: "Colour Colour Everywhere"

Fortunately I had a few coloured pens in the 'craft' drawer of the campervan.

Inspired by Aboriginal Art

Our journey have taken us over the Blue Mountains into Sydney where we stayed at The Lane Cove National Park, in the peaceful setting it was hard to believe we were just 11 klm from the centre of busy Sydney. On our way we made a special stop at the artist Norman Lindsay's Gallery for a tour of his studio and garden.

On our drive down the New South Wales coast we spent a wild and stormy night at a seaside village called Mollymook then over the cool Snowy Mountains.

Fog as we drove over the Snowy Mountains. There was even a sprinkling of snow
quite a contrast from the heat of the desert a few weeks ago.

Well

Weekly Challenge #135: New Official Tangle "Well"

Well is swell! I am happy The Diva has chosen the new official tangle well as our challenge this week. It's great that we can add our own spin to tangles. I just added an extra aura around the petal shapes and pleased with the way it turned out.

We have left the dust and heat of the desert behind and enjoying the coolness of The Blue Mountains.

Katy gave me this beautiful book with gorgeous handmade paper.

A fantastic mural on a wall in Blackheath

Beamz

Weekly Challenge #134: UMT #XX "Beamz - by Traci F"

The tangle beamz selected by The Diva this week reminds me of tracks in the sand, probably because we have been in the outback of Australia for the last week exploring the desert.

We have travelled past many acres of golden canola fields.

Driven through creeks.

It is 1191 klm from Adelaide to Birdsville with over 500 klm  gravel road!

Our bush camp at Birdsville
A billabong at an Aboriginal site

We took a helicopter ride to see Birdsville and The Diamantina River from the air
